⚠️ Fix before printing the table cardsChange SCAN · ORDER to SCAN · PLAY · WIN · EARN. Ordering is off in the Melody app (since Oct 11), so the cards must not say ORDER. Re-export Melody_Table_Cards_1-40.pdf with the new line, then print.
The rule
Food art + QR goes where people are deciding or waiting: the street window, the door, the hallway to the restrooms, the game room, the patio fence. QR only goes where people are already seated and ordering: tables, the bar, the check.
Zone by zone

Highest dwell time: people sit through whole games. Bar stand (#4) every 4 stools, coasters (#5) under drinks, window poster (#1) in the street window by the stage. No sticker on the bar top itself (wet, wiped all day).

First impression and the wait to be seated. Door cling (#2) at eye level, window poster (#1) on the wall facing the door, host card (#4) on the stand. Nothing on the kiosk screen or the hours decal.

Seated and ordering: QR-only numbered table cards (#3), one per table, no poster clutter.

Restroom line = a guaranteed 1-3 minute wait. 18x24 food poster (#6) on the hall wall, restroom sign (#8) inside each door; the chalkboard gets a weekly app line (free).

Waiting for your shot. 18x24 poster (#6) on the wall near the neon, stickers (#7) on bench ledges, table cards (#3) on the counter. Nothing on the felt, rails or ATM.

Outdoor and windy (near LAX): no tents. Weatherproof stickers (#7) on each bench side, coroplast poster (#9) on the fence and at the back door.

Total: 136 printed pieces + 36 stands + 500 coasters · est. $465-830 before tax and shipping (about $375-650 without coasters).
Price ranges are estimates from typical VistaPrint, StickerMule, FedEx Office and Amazon list prices; check the live cart before ordering.
Before you print
- The table card says "SCAN · ORDER · PLAY · WIN", but on 10-11 Christian turned ordering off in the app. Change the line to "SCAN · PLAY · WIN · EARN" and re-export before printing.
- Every new piece (door, bar, host, coaster, check, restroom, hall, patio) points at the short link https://antidotethecure.github.io/melody/?s=<source>, so the app can move without a reprint and each spot can be counted. Scan-verify each one with qrlib.verify.
- Every QR piece keeps the small "Powered by SousShift AI · @SousShiftAi" footer in Melody's muted gold on the crimson.
- Free extras: a QR line on the Toast receipt footer, a still QR slide in the TV rotation, and a weekly app line on the Jack Daniel's chalkboard.
If the budget is tight, do it in this order
- Fix the table-card wording, then print the 1-40 set + 36 stands · $80-135
Every seated guest sees one. Biggest scan driver. - Front window poster + door cling · $70-120
Catches walk-ins and people waiting at the door. - Bar + host cards (same stands) · $10-20
The bar is the longest-stay spot in the room. - Patio weatherproof stickers · $60-80
~84 patio seats with no other QR. - Restroom signs + back-hall 18x24 · $55-115
Guaranteed wait moments. - Bar coasters · $90-180
Great at the bar, but a consumable you reorder. - Check inserts, outdoor coroplast, game-room poster · $110-210
Nice to have. Do last.
What to avoid
- Health code: no stickers on or near ice bins, bar wells, prep surfaces, the coffee/server station or anything behind the bar.
- Safety and ADA: never cover exit signs, the ADA restroom signs, fire extinguishers, or the yellow ADA pads at the patio doors.
- Never on screens: the self-order kiosk, the ATM, TVs or POS terminals.
- Glare: the granite bar and glossy wood panels reflect. Order matte finishes and do not mount QRs right under the pendant lights.
- Distance: a QR scans from about 10x its width. A 3 in code works within ~30 in; a 24x36 poster QR (~8 in) within ~6-7 ft. Nothing high up under the TVs.
- Do not cover the menu or the OPEN/hours decal, and never put a QR on top of someone else's poster (Comedy Joint, Jack Daniel's).
- One QR piece per table, max. Too many pieces reads as spam and lowers scans.
- Sun and weather: patio and street-window pieces need UV laminate and outdoor vinyl or coroplast.
- Pool tables: nothing on the felt or rails.
