SousShift AI agents

Never miss a customer again.

Every call that rings out and every text nobody answers is an order that goes somewhere else. Our AI answers your restaurant's texts and calls 24/7, with your real hours, menu and specials, and hands anything it can't handle to you or your manager.

Talk to a demo host

These are demo voice hosts we built for two of our client restaurants. Tap one, allow your microphone, and ask what you'd ask on the phone: hours, the menu, parking, a table for six.

Demos run in your browser through ElevenLabs. They're for trying the voice and answers, so they don't take real reservations or orders.

Questions

FAQ

Does it sound like a robot?

The voice host uses a natural, modern AI voice, and you can try it yourself above. It talks at a normal pace and handles back-and-forth questions. Some callers will still notice it's an AI, and it says so if asked. It never pretends to be a person.

What if it doesn't know an answer?

It doesn't guess. It tells the customer it'll get a person, then forwards the question to you or your manager by text with the customer's name and number. On a call (Voice tier) it can also transfer to staff when someone's available.

Can it take reservations?

It collects reservation requests (name, party size, date, time, phone) and sends them straight to your staff to confirm. It doesn't book into your system or promise a table on its own, so you stay in control.

Do customers have to download anything?

No. They just text or call your number like they always do.

What number does it use?

Your existing number, by setting up call forwarding (we walk you through it, usually a few minutes on your phone provider's settings), or a new local number we set up for you. For texting on your existing number, we register it with the carriers.

What are the texting rules?

We follow them for you. Replying to a customer who texted you first is fine. Promotional texts only go to people who opted in, every one says who it's from and that they can reply STOP to opt out (and STOP is honored automatically), and nothing promotional goes out during quiet hours (we send between 8 AM and 9 PM). US carriers also require business texting to be registered (called A2P 10DLC). SousShift handles that registration for you; it usually takes a few days.

How many texts and minutes are included?

Plenty for most restaurants. The Text Assistant includes 1,000 texts a month, then $0.03 a text. The Voice Host + Text includes 750 call minutes plus 1,000 texts a month, then $0.15 a minute and $0.03 a text. We'll tell you before you ever go over.

Is there a contract? Can I cancel?

No long contract. It's month to month per location, and you can switch tiers or cancel anytime.

How long does setup take?

We load your hours, menu, specials and FAQs, then test it with you. Texting needs carrier registration, which usually takes a few days. The voice host needs call forwarding turned on for your number. We handle both and tell you when it's live.

Tell us which tier and where. We'll reply to set it up. Nothing is charged here.

Straight talk: the AI is very good, but it isn't perfect, and we don't promise a set number of extra orders. What it does is make sure every text and call gets an answer. The voice tier needs call forwarding set up on your number, and texting needs carrier registration (a few days). SousShift handles both.
